About Westwood Lake

Westwood Lake is a 38-acre lake in St. Louis Park in the southern portion of the Bassett Creek watershed. The lake's 463-acre watershed includes portions of St. Louis Park, Golden Valley, and Minnetonka. The watershed primarily comprises low-density residential land use, park and recreational areas, and a golf course. Overall water quality in Westwood Lake is good for a shallow, metropolitan lake. Its water quality and total phosphorous concentrations meet Minnesota Pollution Control Agency water quality standards and is not on the state's Impaired Waters list. The aquatic invasive species Curlyleaf pondweed is present in Westwood Lake.
